About the experience
As Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Executive at Smash Sports, I managed visual content and layout across multiple e-commerce platforms including Shopify, BigCommerce and Amazon, working to sharpen the shopping experience and support sales performance across a busy racket sports catalogue.
I designed campaign assets from the ground up, banners, product tiles, promotional graphics and social visuals for new launches, seasonal drops and clearance events. The brief was always to keep the brand feeling consistent from a paid ad, to the home page hero, to the confirmation email at the end of checkout.
Email was a big part of the role. I built brand-consistent email campaigns and digital newsletters, then used customer insights and performance data from previous sends to refine layouts, hierarchy, imagery choices and calls-to-action so the next campaign worked harder than the last.
I also handled third-party marketplace visuals, including product content for Decathlon, and made sure the product presentation stayed consistent whether a customer landed on our own store, Amazon or a wholesale partner. It taught me a lot about designing within someone else’s template while still keeping the brand recognisable.
Alongside creative work I coordinated limited paid activity across Google and social, keeping a close eye on which creative and messaging combinations were actually pulling their weight and adjusting from there.
